My husband and I purchased a fixer upper in 2020 and welcomed the challenge to create our dream home. It was a custom home project where I interviewed multiple architects and private contractors to find the perfect match for my vision.

I leveraged my design experience and various tools (i.e., Adobe) to create layouts and mood boards to help illustrate my vision with the architect and contractor. This home was dreamt by me and designed by me, from creating a new layout, customizing stain colors, envisioning wood on the ceilings to choosing door stoppers. Although it was a long process with the many "oh no" moments, I would do it all over again. The experience was exhilarating, worth it, and challenged my design aesthetic in a whole new way.
